You know what? I was wrong. They made an episode with scarier faces! That’s an academy record! Here we can see long shots of Pinkie Pie using her eyes to move a piece of paper (that’s… disgusting), an inflation of her eyeballs (really creepy), and, my favourite f*cked up part, Pinkie Pie with spirals on her eyes during… how many seconds? Three? Four? In a disturbing close-up.
And let’s not talk about her screams.
I felt totally uncomfortable during most of the episode. I don’t remember Pinkie Pie with faces from The son of the Mask (one of the worst comedies in cinema history). Her reactions about what’s happening could be funnier, more adorable… but not like this.
I have one question for the team behind My Little Pony, specially Andrea Libman, with no sarcasm, no dark question, all honest. I wanna be serious for a moment: What did you think was happening here? Did you really think that this is gonna be as good as the episodes from Seasons 1 and 2? Disturbing faces, extreme screams…
Anyway, I don’t want to repeat myself over and over again because I’ve written what I really think about all this awkward situation:

Like I’ve said a couple of months ago, if you like Pinkie Pie like this, with all the screams and all the scary faces, that’s ok. But don’t try to convince me that she’s the same character.
The screencaps from the first panel are from Hasbro. The second and third panels are drawn by me.
