Description

Let’s face it. Cozy really just needs to be reformed. Not turned into stone.

Spike would’ve been perfect for a scene like this. He’s always been pretty good at being the voice of reason.

Liberty Belle - Sings the song of the unchained

@Zonai
Garble isn’t a bully, he’s a sociopath. His goal when becoming dragon lord was to order all dragons to attack equestria, and Ember had to specifically give him an order to NOT attack ponies. He found a loophole in the rule that didn’t say he couldn’t attack pony-loving-dragons, forcing Rainbow Dash to assist Spike as Garble attacked him.

And anything coming from “sweet and smoky” is best off being ignored because it has so many contradictions to the universe as to not be tolerated.

%“Garble is sweet guys.”
~Except Garble has had many opportunities to show that he could have a nice side. He doesn’t have one. He is nothing but hatred and violence. When given the opportunity to be nicer in the gauntlet, he abused Spike and uses him. When he could play fair in Shadow play, he refuses to honor the terms and uses it as an excuse to attack spike.

%“Garble just doesn’t want to be bullied”
~Garble is clearly the alpha in every group. The other dragons don’t care what Garble has to say, they obey him without question, There is nothing Garble could do that the other dragons would “bully” him over without him literally attacking them.

~Spike: “Laugh fire is super hot!”
~Spike has laughed to the point he’s been disabled many many times in the series. There is no such thing as laugh fire. Sneeze fire, hiccup fire, and burp fire all happen, but never laugh fire. Worse, SPIKE is the one that mentions this, which makes less sense.

~Smolder: “Garble is my brother”
~In the VERY EPISODE THIS IS MENTIONED, we see that… likely isn’t the case. All dragon eggs are laid in a large community nest that is watched over by the dragon lord. The dragons all hatch and have no known ties to one another. This requires a stupid amount of out-of-episode research to clarify the meaning of brother and sister in dragon society. Does it mean genetic? Does it mean of the same nest? Do dragons lay one egg or several? It is confusing, meaning it was poorly written.

I just prefer to imagine sweet and smoky doesn’t exist. Same with father knows beast.

Well, what about when Smolder found out about Garble being bully towards Spike when she’s not around? She does exactly what anyone would do if they realized their friend is getting picked on. Which is sticking up for him.

You know, call me crazy, but I honestly believe Smolder has a crush on Spike. I’d say she’s either playing hard to get, or just doesn’t realize it altogether.

Smolder’s first interactions with spike are to lock him in a closet and tell him what the molt does, but she does it in the most backhanded way possible. He is obviously horrified, terrified of being alone and pushed away from those he loves, Smolder is happy it’s happening to him and blows off any issues Spike is having with it, not showing any sympathy towards him saying how his life is over.

Subsequent interactions consist of her often greeting him with snide remarks or otherwise telling him how he’s wrong. Need I remind everyone how he made a pillow for Smolder, and smolder lies right to his face saying “dragons don’t use pillows”, despite… herself using pillows no less than two times before this, a dragon willing to pillage equestria JUST for pillows, and sludge’s entire reason for camping out in ponyville being a life lounging on pillows.

Smolder is not nice to Spike and I severely dislike her interactions with him.

I don’t ever remember Smolder being rude to Spike though. I only remember her being just a little rude but also keep in mind that she’s technically a tomboy which usually they can be a bit mean sometimes. But deep down we know they still have a soft side like Rainbow Dash. Heck even Buttercup from The PowerPuff Girls is a tomboy and yes she can be very rude a lot. But she can also be really sweet sometimes.

The main issue was that Spike only “fought” to make two friends in the series, Thorax and Ember, and due to their positions as royals, Spike doesn’t get to see them at all outside of business meetings, leading to smolder being an ember stand-in, and a very bad one as she ends up being a total cunt to him, and anytime she’s nice to him it’s painfully OOC.

I liked Spike being friends with Gabby because Gabby wasn’t doing anything and isn’t “important” as a royal would be, so the two of them made for a fun dynamic.

People should read them, yes. Because otherwise you won’t get what’s happening. Are you sure you’re not trying to be a troll at this point?
Because you’re REALLY starting to get on my nerves a bit.
