Everyone gets nervous on their big day, right? …Right? I don’t think she could’ve helped it with all the butterflies in her tummy!
Have a story.
This was it. Today was the big day. The day that Sprite and Understudy were due to be wed. Sprite shifted about in her wedding dress, waiting to be walked down the aisle by her father, her stomach giving her the overpowering torment of anxious butterflies.
In the audience sat her mother Sweet Apple Harvest, her brother Braeburn, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Understudy’s family, and all of their friends. Up at the altar stood Princess Twilight Sparkle, acting as the ceremony’s priest. Next to her stood Understudy, idly waiting for the ceremony to begin.
Steelspark fixed his tie in the mirror before correcting his top hat and smiling confidently.
“You know, princess, it’s okay to be nervous,” he stated, looking at Sprite through the mirror’s reflection. “We were quite nervous on our wedding day.”
Sprite looked up at her father, fidgeting a bit. “Well, everyone gets nervous… I’m more worried about my tummy…” The alicorn paused to whimper a bit.
Her father chuckled deeply. “You’ll do just fine, sweetheart. We’ve been over this a thousand times.” He leans down to give her a kiss on the cheek and putting the veil over her face. “Now come on, the ceremony is starting.”
The familiar organ began to play. The doors swung open, held by Prince Shining Armor and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. In hopped the Cutie Mark Crusaders, spreading flower pedals on the floor with each bounce. Immediately behind them walked Sprite and her father, Sprite’s rear end crinkling with each step. Cadence and Shining Armor, whom carried Flurry Heart with them, followed in tow as the last set of ponies.
After they approached the altar, Sprite and Steelspark shared one last hug before he and the others took their seat. Sweet Apple Harvest always cried at high emotion events, and this one was no different.
“My little baby is getting married!” she shouted out, on the verge of crying.
Sprite took her place on the altar faced Understudy. Understudy gently took the veil and flipped out of Sprite’s face and smiled warmly before the two took their places.
Twilight cleared her throat. “Welcome, everypony, to the wedding of miss Sprite and miss Understudy. I am Princess Twilight Sparkle, and I shall be acting as the priest for this holy ceremony of joining two pony lives in holy matrimony. If anyone has any objections, say them now, or forever hold your peace.”
Sprite began to fidget a bit more. Her stomach growled a bit.
“No, not now…!” she thought to herself.
Twilight looked around the room. “It looks like we are ready to—” She was abruptly cut off by Sprite grimacing and taking a step back.
“Is there something the matter?” she asks.
Sprite went to speak. “I… I…” Her stomach, as if on cue, began to empty itself in a rather loud fashion. Without a second of warning, the poor alicorn began to fill her diaper on the altar, in front of all her friends and family. Her face scrunched up as she uncontrollably pushed.
The room went deathly silent. One could hear a feather hit the floor.
Then, out of nowhere, Sweet Apple Harvest began to crack up. First a “snrk.” Then a giggle… And finally a gigglefit. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna followed suit before everyone chimed in.
“I can’t believe my little princess just filled her diaper on her biggest day!” she says, as her husband holds up a handkerchief up for her to use.
“My word, Luna! Your student seems to have grown up alright, but not where it matters most today!” Celestia commented through laughter.
“Oh, sister, please! I can’t take much more of this laughing! No jokes!” Luna looked ready to fall over in laughter.
Understudy and Steelspark merely chuckled a bit and rolled their eyes.
Sprite, now fully humiliated, and fully filled up, shrunk back a bit with a crimson face. “…Horseapples…” she mutters to herself.
Twilight calmed down her giggles. “Alright, everypony. We all get nervous in ceremonies like this. Now that all of the objections are completely… Pushed out of the way, we can continue.”
Understudy shook her head some, but kept on smiling. That was certainly one way to lighten the mood and put everyone at ease.
