MLP oc: Morning Glory by TardyPrincess
 
 
First we see lil Glory filly realising that she can stare directly into a bright light with no ill effect, Mama Shy doesn’t appreciate that one bit. The light is eminating from Glory’s horn, she learnt the illumination spell very quickly.
 
Second is slightly older Glory, attempting to create and control real fire. She discovered and is trying to perfect this while studying at the Unicorn Academy of Magic. As she can stare at the flame she’s able to focus on it directly, making her practice a lot easier for her.
 
And finally there’s Glory’s biggest source of inspiration and her idol, other than the sun itself, Princess Celestia. As the alicorn herself raises the sun, Glory has been dying to learn the secrets of sun magic and often begs Celestia to teach her. She always gets the reply of a gentle smile and laugh from the Princess, and secretly inside Glory is annoyed that she won’t just tell her how she does it.  
As her mother Sunset Shimmer was once a student of Celestia, Glory also pesters her as to how she had Celestia as her teacher. Shimmer simply places a hoof on her young daughter’s shoulder, saying with a smile, “You just aren’t good enough yet.”  
Well. She’ll see about that.
