“Rash, for Princess Luna’s sake, stay away from King Sombra!” Violet Spark cried out, face clad in worry over seeing her friend trying to confront the dark king. “You are a foal and you don’t have any magic, you can’t beat him! Please, Rash, run away!”
 

 
Day 7 of the Newbie Artist Training Grounds is here and it is getting DARK. Today’s prompt is Draw a pony in danger/Draw a pony living life on the edge.  
For today, I decided to draw a background colt who was at the Daring Do convention that we saw in “Stranger Than Fan Fiction”:

The fandom calls him Shutterbug, but I also came up with an own name for him. I only discovered that the fandom has already named him after I came up with the name (and can’t change the description on EQD’s submitter anymore now), and the name Shutterbug also isn’t very creative or defining of him (apparently, he only got that name because he was seen using a camera once during the convention, even though taking pictures is something all ponies do here and there, especially at a con, also, the mare Chrysalis disguised as recently got also called “Shutter Bug” and this name fits her much better), so I decided to stick with it anyway:
 
 
At the Daring Do convention, we’ve seen him looking with a huge grin at two Ahuizotl cosplayer. That means he is a fan of Ahuizotl. And since Ahuizotl is a villain, that means he likes the villains of the Daring Do books a lot. And since he likes them so much, he would probably find it awesome to fight such a villain himself and defeat it.  
But he is a young colt and probably not strong enough to stand ground against such a villain, so if he would fight one, he would be in huge danger and likely get killed. Which would make it very dangerous for him to confront a villain….. But since he loves villains so much and dreams so much about fighting one, he is rash and so, he would go on such an endeavor anyway, not even realizing how much he risks his life…..  
But at the same time, there can be situations where being risky in a fight can be a good strategy, as winning sometimes requires to take risks. So, maybe that is his special talent, spotting the risky, but fast, ways to defeat a villain (or just to do a certain task) and, therefore, doing the rash endeavors that other ponies don’t dare to do. Because of this, I think a good name for him is Rash Endeavor, which hints at his risky attitude and also implies his special talent, as it is the norm for pony names, so I chose this name for him.
 
 
On this picture, Rash finally got what he always wanted, fighting a villain, as King Sombra surprisingly returned. Using his chance, he confronted him, eager to finally make his desires of fighting a real villain become true. While his friend Violet Spark is scared for the life of Rash and urges him to run away. I sadly had not enough time to draw her, so, she is telling him this off-screen.  
I also realize that Sombra looks like an odd choice for the villain Rash Endeavor faces, since he has become good, but bear with me there. I did not have much time anymore to draw this since I will go on a vacation of sorts tomorrow and want to get up early for this (and it’s already later than I anticipated) and my friend suggested Rash Endeavor (who was still unnamed by me when she made that suggestion) facing Sombra, when I asked her if she has any ideas what I could draw for this day after she submitted her own entry for Day 7.  
For this picture, I imagine that there is still a bit of Umbrum left in Sombra, that Radiant Hope could not remove all of it, and that Sombra was corrupted by this remaining darkness in him again and could therefore not leave his dark legacy behind completely.  
The only one standing against the newly risen King of Monsters right now, is Rash Endeavor, foolishly trying to fight a villain, just like Daring Do, even though he has no powers to defeat a being like King Sombra. How will this confrontation end for the little colt?
