Continuation of some face practice after Face Practice 20190305
Throwing in some skin tone problems for this one! Gosh… darn… blue haha
So I also made the darker skin variant! (Based on the Kotobukiya figurine concepts)
I don’t remember ever making this tone of skin before, the light brown that is (maybe the blue too…)
Which is funny, because it’s pretty close to my own hah.
Basically, fun little new exploration exercise, biting my way through unexplored stuff I hadn’t done before.
No direct reference used for face shapes, that part is mostly by imagination and the previous faces I made.
For the skin colours I did try to look up some stuff, because I know there’s a lot of complexity and depth to it, so I wanted to look up some hints at what to pay attention to. Certainly needs some work in controlling it, but good learning experiences.
I did end up working slower on these than the last, about double, but I think that’s a combination of streaming and talking as well as figuring out the faces.
Looks better from a distance hah. Gosh, at least it’s not as bad as the early progress… I need to get better at starting out with the faces, want to rely less on fixing them constantly (tho at least I’m able to somewhat fix em…)
