Yes, finally, Kimono’s father is revealed!
 
I think I first came across this ship when I was bored and looking for something arty to do. I searched and found this sketch by patch and then colored it. It sat in my maybe ship pile for a long time, competing with RariLane.
 
With Rarity and Davenport both being successful business ponies, I think they’d have a lot in common. They are both on the Ponyville Business Council, and their crafts have enough overlap that they could probably strike up conversation, or even trade fabric tips and barter.
 
Both parents love Kimono dearly. Kimono is a little closer to her father. When it’s a slow day at the shop, Davenport sends the babysitter home early and lets his little girl help him at the store. She sweeps, bags quills, helps wrap furniture, and takes her nap on a different bed every day. She becomes quite the little salespony at a very young age.
 
I decided I like Kimono better as a unicorn.
