“My name is DragonLily, I live with my mommy and daddy in a house daddy built on a little island off the coast. There’s a port town just a short boat ride away where I go to school and my mommy works at the local library. Daddy runs a ferry that gives ponies rides to and from the shore to the many nearby islands.  
Mommy’s really nice and smart, she always helps me with my homework. Daddy says she never went to school and she doesn’t like going to town much. Every afternoon after Daddy takes us home she sits on the porch and smokes a cigar. If ever they’re gone and I get lonely I sit in her rocking chair and smell her cigar smell.  
Daddy tells me stories sometimes about where they came from. She says she was born in a place where they have these ponies called stallions, they’re like normal ponies but a little different though she won’t tell me exactly how.  
I have a friend named Dinky who lives in town and her mommies Derpy and Amethyst are really nice.  
One day I’m gonna be a botanist and grow pretty flowers for everypony to enjoy. Mommy says it’s a great job but daddy thinks it’s kinda silly.”
