Joyride shrugs and says, “Nah, let’s wait until we hit camp for the night. I ain’t carrying her around while she is out, and I doubt she is very mobile while stuck to the book.”
 
Emerald asks if there are bandits in the area.
 
“Oh yeah, lot’s. Especially since the war has been going on. Maybe it’s calmed a bit now that the front has been pushed way down south, but I doubt it. It hasn’t been long enough yet for the police forces to recover probably.” Joyride remarks with a nod.
 
Emerald asks how Joyride met Hope.
 
“I’ve known ol’ Hopey Dope her whole life pretty much. I’ve been friends with her father for a long time now, and I still remember when her mother was pregnant with her. Poor girl, shame she died. She was a real looker. Probably where Hope got it from.” Joyride says with a bark of laughter.
