(Note: I headcanon Tempest doesn’t actually have one given she avoided her kind and society for much of her life and never really found that moment to obtain a cutiemark.)
 
So for those of you who weren’t already aware, I ship Tempest Shadow with Sunset Shimmer. Both have had hardships with friends, powers, and were formerly seen as the ‘bad guy’ and (Like others) given the chances to redeem themselves. Tempest actually met Sunset during her journey spreading the word of the Storm King’s defeat in a place outside of Equestria. Sunset had been unsure of returning to Equestria itself, despite returning from the human (EQG) dimension. Sunset was happy to try and begin ‘re-integrating’ with other ponies by starting small with a lone pony, so Tempest suited perfectly. She’d never admit it, but Tempest was secret pleased both to see another pony braving the world outside of Equestria, as well as to have a reminder that she didn’t have to avoid her own kind any longer.
 
They felt a strong connection over sharing their experiences and stories, realizing they could relate. While their transgression were certainly different, in the end the similarities remained. Through this connection the two fell into - not quite love - but certainly like. Later they both returned to Equestria together and took up residence in a house on the outskirts of Ponyville, far enough away to have some peace. Love did blossom over time, though neither Tempest nor Sunset are incredibly affectionate in public. Sunset however isn’t above using her big, strong, marefriend to scare off someone being an ass - even if she is perfectly capable of it herself. In this picture I’d imagine someone made some kind of comment and so Sunset Shimmer plopped down next to Tempest who had over heard, then cheekily stuck out her tongue as Tempest gave the other pony/creature the stink eye.
