So if you saw my last journal, you’ll know that my faithful rig, GLaDOS met her untimely end thanks to a motherboard failure.
 
Yesterday, her successor came in. I’m still setting everything up, but one of the first programs I installed was SFM, because I wanted to see just how well the new rig could handle it.
 
To put it simply, I’m blown away. The new rig is a considerable upgrade, with an AMD 64 bit quad core processor and 8 gigs of DDR3 memory. SFM now runs about 10 times smoother than it ever did with GLaDOS.
 
A lot of things I never thought possible now seem possible. I’m super excited.
 
At any rate, this is just a christening pic featuring MonMon. Nothing fancy here as this was just a test to see how well the new rig handled SFM. Same to say this was a walk in the park. After I finish setting up everything, I’ll start to experiment with some more complex pics (and, as promised, open up commissions).
 
And in case you were wondering about the title, that’s the name of the new PC.
