“Meet the DerpLane family everyone%! I know people are going to be confused as to why I did not pair Derpy with Dr. Hooves and weeeellllllllll… I mean I really love the ship, it’s adorable, but when I thought about how I wanted Derpy’s storyline to unfold I realized that this was the better route to go. Plus the way I see this pairing interacting in my head is too cute for words%

Headcanons about Derpy:  
-Due to an inccident in her past she relapses into short terms of amnesia from time to time  
-These said amnesia states she suffers from are also the reason she tends to be so “forgetful” of things  
-She’s very hardworking, yet she’s also super playful  
-Her and Dr. Hooves were a thing for a brief time, but her moments of amnesia sort of drove him away emotionally (mostly due to fear)
 
Headcanons about Thunderlane:  
-He successfully became apart of the Wonderbolts, and when things started to go wrong he leapt from the preformance branch to the military branch  
-Part of the reason he switched branches was because he lost his younger brother, Rumble, in one of the sudden inncidents  
-Although a workaholic he knows when he’s reached his limits, falling back to his loving wife and kids and spending some good old family time with them  
-Though he plays the part of a cool guy he’s actually a complete dork
