Princess Celestia Custom Plush Commission for (at)iStricer on Twitter. She is NOT FOR SALE.
PROCESS
Tia is made from snow white, blush, sky, lime, turquoise, banana and yellow minky.
Her eyes, horn, necklace, crown and cutiemark were embroidered with a Brother Innovis 750D embroidery machine, Madiera Rayon embroidery thread, and Bernina V6 embroidery software. The eyes were designed and digitised by me, and feature 3d eyelashes. Her pattern was also designed by me. Her hooves contain poly pellets and her legs are wired so she can stand on her own. She is 25 inches to the top of her head and 32 inches to the top of her horn. She has flat hooves and 3d sculpted ears. Her wings are wired for support. Her gems are made from hand sculpted and casted painted resin. Tia’s hair has AAA quality diamante crystals scattered throughout and fine glitter throughout so she glitters like in the show. Her mane contains 2 layers of very stiff stabiliser so it holds it’s form very well without wire.
Her hair has been entirely airbrushed to give a gradient effect. Idk how obvious it is, but her front hair is not in shadow, it is the gradient. Have a closer look to see it in full effect.
Please do not ask for the pattern, under no circumstance will I be giving it out.
COMMENTS
OH MAN, I know I say this all the time but I WISH I was keeping her so badly. She is just.. utterly magnificent. I never really appreciated how amazing Tia’s design is till I made this plush. And I want one for my collection so badly!
Making her pattern was an experience in itself. She has SUCH weird anatomy, even compared to the already strange anatomy of Cadence and Luna. I really don’t think I could be happier with the accuracy of the pattern. Though stuffing her legs through those 3cm openings at the top is going to give me RSI later in life, I know it XD. That was probably the most painful part of making her.
Her hair is absolutely MASSIVE. I don’t know if people can appreciate it from the pictures, but her hair has to be 3ft long or so, I never measured it. Her tail is about twice as heavy as she is, so I would recommend placing the tail carefully when standing her up, or even leaning it against something for added stability. Lifting her tail AND under her belly at the same time is a must for carrying her.
The 3d lashes were heaps of fun! Thanks to all the people who gave me tips and methods. I can definitely add these to commissions but they will be at an extra cost. I can’t wait to make more ponies for myself with them, though I won’t do it on everyone (just when it suits).
Anyway it was the greatest pleasure getting to wake up to her gloriousness every morning I worked on her. She kept me awake for many hours just staring at her in admiration. I am ridiculously proud of her and I really hope I can muster up the strength to make another for myself. I can’t wait to make Nightmare moon with this pattern and a modified version for Chrysalis.
