From what people are saying on Danbooru, there is an anus in the back, but the frontgina still exists. Reason being to piss off a subreddit that keeps demanding the artist to put animal pussies.

They’ve drawn nothing but humanized pokemon, why would anyone expect them to lean hard into the furry stuff now?

I know it’s a bit ironic to be saying that in response to a taur of all the damn things, one of the furriest characters out of this artist so far, but the rule still applies.

They have all the combined advantages of a cavalry and infantry unit rolled into one, mostly.

Their cavalry strengths are that they’re able to move fast and strike hard, their momentum making it hard to divert them and speed making it hard to counter before they’re upon you. In melee their bulk makes it hard to deal with them; any normal human would find it difficult to fend off something so strong, bulky, and tall compared to them. And with a human brain at the helm they don’t suffer nearly as much danger of a charge falling apart because of something as simple as the horses getting scared and throwing off their riders.

Their infantry strengths are increased maneuverability and adaptability over being mere cavalry. A cavalry charge can’t halt on a dime as a unit nearly as easily as these can, and they can’t get low and take cover, or make a slow retreat under covering fire. Horses lack the discipline these things require. For cavalry it’s very much do or die in a proper charge, and the added flexibility of bring partly infantry gives them far more options and makes them far more dangerous. I would also assume it’s far easier to aim a rifle when you’re able to control your own actions instead of trying to estimate when the horse is next going to plant its legs.

Of course all this said they’re still far more useful in wide open spaces rather than tight and packed ones, making them somewhat unsuitable for trench or urban warfare. In the streets they would likely handle themselves well, but in a trench, a tight alley, or indoors they would be far too easily outflanked and trapped. Turning around is no easy feat when you’re as long as an average human is tall.

They might manage something resembling a tank role when it comes to trenches however, simply leaping right over them and harassing their back lines while the front trenches deal with a followup normal infantry charge that can secure the gained ground. Plus they can probably lug artillery around with them, and they have enough pack space for almost an entire squad of infantry so they could likely carry far more ammo per person.

There’s a lot of advantages to being part horse. The human parts do help a bit, though.
