Threads, Mark Zuckerberg’s Twitter alternative, is already imploding. Everyone’s throwing around the “Threads already lost half its users” narrative, but that’s only what it lost in July.

Full screen video now autoplays a random video after what you’re currently watching ends, and trying to go back to the old video just bounces you back to the random video.

I really seriously fucking hate Elon Musk, like big time, no cap.

I wanted that ability to be removed. Elon Musk allowed many people back onto the platform with the right views, but certain “marginalized groups”, targets, are allowed to hide behind their blocks. It’d be interesting to see the those groups interact a bit.

Block has always been too powerful on Twitter, its good that it will be removed and i rather he takes a too big step in the one direction and corrects it a bit afterwards then leaving it as it is now.

One of the biggest issue plaguing social media is shutting people out of conversations and making echo chambers. Lots of people complain about spammers, stalkers, harassers etc. but these people have multiple accounts and you can’t hide from them anyways.

From my point of view there should be an option for yourself to don’t see certain people, but your own posts should stay open to be commented on by anyone who wishes to. To prevent these thought bubbles from existing in the first place where it looks like people are all in agreement all while having 4-5 digit deep block lists.
