4: how instead of "lol they just assumed power" they actually had to fight for it, both externally (e.g. czechoslovaks who learnt of Trotsky's plan to disarm them and execute anyone armed on the spot and did what US-ians refuse to do, that is, started shooting the commies the fuck up) and internally (again, left is self-eating)
5: how both sides did a fuckload of pillaging, raping and burning (but the Whites more owing to controlling, at first, more territory and having less of a leash on it)
6: the shenanigans with English invasion in the north, full course deal with concentration camps, chemical weapons
7: the shenanigans with Japanese invasion in the east
8: some individuals like Pepelyaev who commanded the White armies, was so ballsy that the reds_*convicted and imprisoned him_* instead of shooting him on the spot, successfully lived through that, and only got executed by Stalin's NKVD in 1938
