GOP dont want people to be equal dog. they never did. they are still salty to this day about segregation and MLK and women given the power to vote. Why do you think they wanted to get rid of Roe v Wade for so damn long after the fact of its implementation and "put it back" to the states? So they could control women again and make them be seen as OBJECTS again like in the good old days. They woant control theyve always wanted control. They want a hierarchy not a society where EVERYONE is equal to them. Do you ever pick up a book? They want to dismantle the Federal branch of the DOE to "put it back to the states" when the states ALREADY do it themselves. The Federal branch is for handing out money to each states Department of education. their rhetoric of putting it back to the states is to make it fall to their whim by putting in loyalists who will do their will with zero questions asked.
