So, the piece-of-junk heating unit in Sunset’s shitty apartment finally bit the dust. Filthy Rich, who owns the apartment block, said he’d send a repairhorse over as soon as possible–unfortunately it’s Hearth’s Warming Eve, and Filthy is utterly preoccupied with making the holiday extraordinary for his precious daughter. To the surprise of nopony, Sunset’s plight immediately plummets to the lowest spot on his to-do list. Now the Professor and her Hippocampi have little choice but to huddle together on her bed, drink hot tea (out of cheap, cheap thrift store mugs) and tough out the long winter’s night.
 
You’d think Sunset would be more upset about this turn of events, but it’s been a very long time since she’s had any company on Hearth’s Warming. The cold notwithstanding, for Sunset this counts as a fairly happy holiday.
