Description

Hey
Recently I noticed that in Pony fandom, people tell much often in their blog/comments about problems that they face in real life, such as problems at school, unemployment, sickness or family. I observed numerous other fandoms/internet mirco-societies and people generally would avoid this topic. Normally I would do some statistics test, but while not impossible with proper text mining, it would be a tremendous job so I will violate all rules of scientific approach and tell you my theories starting with most probable in my opinion. I would be happy to hear your opinion.
  1. It is coincidence/result of my flawed perception. Sharing painful parts of your life is not more prominent in brony fandom.
  2. MLP and fandom influences people to be more outgoing about their problems
  3. MLP attracts people who currently have problems in real life, possibly as colorful and optimistic alternative.
  4. MLP attracts people more prone to having serious life problems in general, possibly because of being more sensitive or less competitive nature.
    5.Something else?

I know this is image board, but since Im stalkerish type of person I dont want to invade some random message boards with new account, just to ask this question. Thank you for your time.
