Artist’s Description 
Once upon a time, Starlight Glimmer was on the staff of the Canterlot orphanage where little Sunset Shimmer used to live. Sunset was not a trusting sort of child, and Starlight was not professionally obliged to show anything resembling favoritism to any of the foals, but the two became very attached to each other regardless (was there ever a filly and mare who could match one another so perfectly on the playing field of wills and wits?). The duo grew so close that Starlight made a vow to take Sunset with her when she moved along. Wonder what went awry.
 
Anyway, in this scene teeny-tiny Sunset has received a book for Hearth’s Warming, and while she could probably read it cover to cover on her own, she would prefer it if Starlight would read it to her. The pair settle into a shabby second-hand recliner in the common room and immerse themselves in the story until the youngster can no longer keep her eyes open.
