After a long time, I have finally figured why I don’t like the designs of Equestria Girls (the actual movie I found “meh”)
 
The figures needed to be much Diverse…and I get, I get they want to sell dolls, so a simple build is the easiest to market
 
But I think the girls’ figures would be a WHOLE lot more better if they were more diverse in their builds instead of generic mannequin with swappble hair
 
Now I know, only Twilight was a pony, so this probably wouldn’t work
 
Imagine the girls with some over the top designs
 
I could picture Rarity as thin and long as Olive Oil  
and perhaps Twilight as a tiny tiny person that reaches up to thighs (while carrying a book, mindy)
 
well, now that I have figured my problem out, I can get on with my life
