Spindle: When I looked outside the day we were heading for Busan, the raindrops were a little larger and brighter, but making louder sounds upon their fall. The ground beneath me had blanked into white, with fluvial winds above. A thermometer I was levitating tumbled down, seemingly without end.
 
Winter had come.
 
Parcly Taxel: My hometown of Canterlot has had some strong winters, but nothing as intense as this. Spindle breathed out a snowball, hurling it into my face. Surely that little windigo would be my fire in this frigid world…
 
Spindle: With Parcly trailing me, we thus flew to the mainland, which took forty minutes. To my surprise, it was sunny over the many high-rises erected there, though still biting cold.
 
Compared to Seoul, Busan feels much more rustic with its many bronze statues and old grey buildings. A sliver of Sombra’s influence still hangs above; ponies are sober and more critical in speech.
 
[As I write this, all of South Korea is in mourning for the late President Kim Young-sam, who died on 22 November. The flags are at half-mast across the country and the major television channels are carrying tributes to him.]
 
Parcly: Now in the city, I chomped on a Korean hay burger for a very late lunch. Following that was a ride on the local metro to Gwangan, where a bridge lighted by thousands of LEDs stands in splendour - if you can brave the nocturnal temperatures, that is: even my alicorn status doesn’t give me insulation!
 
Starlight Glimmer: I wondered along with Parcly about the differences between ponies, how the local populace could walk easily in this climate but not the two of us. Then it hit me that my “equality magic” would never smooth them out, even if I went back in time or-
 
Parcly: But there’s one place in Busan I remember best and I went there next! The world’s largest shopping centre: SHINSEGAEEEE~ [squees]
 
Starlight: …OK, you win. I cannot hope to understand more about cutie mark magic than you.
 
Parcly: Well I’ve made some myself, Starlight. Anyway, I ended off the day with some mushroom stew for dinner.
