I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what to do with Cadence for the longest time. After some looking around, I decided to make her a changeling! Kind of bringing her original introduction full circle, aren’t I? I felt that, despite being introduced alongside Changelings, her connection with them was swept under the rug. So, in my new version, Cadence embraces more of the succubus traits changelings are based off, albeit more cutesy. Alright, backstory time!
 
While Twilight and her friends traveled Equestria, the brother of the brilliant unicorn met somepony himself. Shining Armor, the promising soldier of the royal guard, fell in love with the kind and beautiful Cadence. By the time Twilight returned home, Shining and Cadence shared a connection as strong as Twilight shared with her wonderful friends. It was then that Twilight discovered her deepest secret. Cadence is a changeling, a creature sustained by love. Can Twilight trust this warm hearted mare with her brother’s love, or should she be wary of the changeling’s instincts?
