Just as Rainbow Dash was just about to reach and touch the escaping Applejack, Twilight comes from the deep and tackles her multicoloured friend and overpowers her. Applejack is running out of air as she hears Twilight, talking underwater:
 
Twilight: Applejack, you got have to reach the shore and get help. We all fell victims to a curse that is transmitted via touch. This curse will strip you of your humanity and turn into a mermaid. I accidentaly discovered it as I touched Pinkie Pie and she transformed into a mermaid. Then she touched Rainbow Dash and she developed a severe case of leg envy and proceeded to look for and turn Rarity too. Go and look for Sunset Shimmer, she can help us defeat this curse. I will restrain Rainbow Dash until you are safe.
 
Rainbow Dash: NO! This is not fair! I had awesome legs! Why does everybody get to have legs but me? I need to…. I need to turn them… I will turn our friends into more of us…
 
Twilight: Rainbow, stop, you are not like this. Please, calm down, we will find a way to be ponies… I mean… humans again. Desist, please?
 
Applejack does not grasp the full situation but she continues swimming upwards…
