MLPs Count of Monte Cristo - The Object of My Hate
 
Another cover piece for my story of “The Count of Monte Cristo”.
 
This time, it concerns chapter 2, and the fuming, and newfound hatred Tirek Danglars now feels towards his greatest obstacle for power: Shining Dantes. As Lieutenant General, he was next in line for the position of command for the whole of The Equestrian Military. This would have given him an immense level of authority, and power second only to the Princesses themselves. And then General Iron Hoof had to give his favorite little pet the position over him out of his sympathy, and compassion. Then, to make matters worse, the financier of their over-seas operations, Fancy Morrel, and the colonel’s princess sister, Twilight Sparkle Dantes, both gave the all-clear for it.
 
In Tirek’s mind, this was an act of betrayal unlike any he had experienced. His position had been earned through his own blood, and sweat. And he had worked to the bone to obtain his rightful position of general. But nooooooo: the ponies once again had to be soft-touches who believed anything they heard. Granted, what Shining had told them of Iron Hoof was true. But to him, it didn’t matter. Due to favoritism - and probably because of his own past - they had overlooked him in favor of Shining Dantes. Well, let’s just say it will NOT go over well with him.
 
One way, or another, he WILL even the score, and get his revenge.
