This was a bold decision, mostly because Miss Pommel doesn’t have an Equestria Girls counterpart (yet?). However, I couldn’t resist using her because, although her profession isn’t the same, she looks like she’d have the same temperament as Everett Ross (…sorta…kinda…maybe…). Not to mention Miss Pommel is such a sweetie that I couldn’t resist finding a place for her in this universe.
Indigo Wreath as Col. Helmut Zemo
This was decided from the moment I heard that Zemo was going to be in the movie. Something about Indigo Wreath just screams Zemo to me; perhaps in the way he dresses? To me, he’s such a perfect fit for the part. Here’s hoping we see more of Zemo in movies to come…
Ms. Harshwhinny as Secretary Thaddeus Ross
I can’t deny that this decision was a fairly easy one. When looking for an adult who has that authoritarian personality, Ms. Harshwhinny was the first to come to mind. I was glad to see she had an EqG counterpart in the comics because it made it easier to visualize her as Secretary Ross. On a side-note, just imagine if the MCU decides to introduce the “Red Hulk”…
Thunderbass as Brock Rumlow / Crossbones
Ever since “The Winter Soldier”, I decided to use Thunderbass as Rumlow. He looks like he would have the same personality as Rumlow, and even more so as Crossbones. Too bad his role in “Civil War” was short-lived; I would have loved to see more of him in that awesome looking armor!
Vice Principal Luna as The Vision
Out of all the characters to date, this was the hardest decision to make. I was looking for someone who had a similar personality, and no one really seemed to hit the mark. However, VP Luna seemed like the ideal choice, especially since her pony equivalent has the ability to create and travel through dreams. Not to mention the episode, “Do Princesses Dream of Magical Sheep?”, really set the role in stone for me.
Scribble Dee as Peter Parker / Spider-Man
This is probably not what many of you were expecting, nor is it who many of you want for this part, but stick with me here. Scribble Dee looks like she has the same qualities that the new Peter Parker has; someone who is inventive, academically intelligent, insecure, but not afraid to step up to the plate and fight when needed. Scribble Dee hits the beats a lot to me and I’m really proud of this decision. Hopefully, many of you will agree!
