Ah yes, the time has arrived to finally announce my mlp otp, Snailixie.  
For awhile I had been a little nervous to actually come out about liking this ship, but, I have learned that anything can be possible in a verse with the help of father time!
 
When Snails first met Trixie, he had been in a bad slump in his life, his parents hardly paid attention to him and his only friend, Snips, was constantly studying to be a surgeon, even as a colt to follow his in father, Clips’, hoofsteps, which of course, as his best friend he was totally supporting of his friend’s goals in life, but it hurt Snails inside because he had always felt alone, even at such a young age and Snips was the only pony who paid him any sort of attention. Even though Snails and Snips always seemed to be next to one another, it was actually very rare that the two ever hung out outside of school. Even though Snips and Snails were both considered the “slower” colts in the class, it didn’t change the fact that Snips came from a very wealthy family who both loved and cared about him, and secretly, Snails was envious of that, but of course he would never tell Snips this.
 
So when Trixie first rolled into town, she seemed like someone Snails could confide in since she too seemed like she had been going through her own rough patch. Even though Trixie always made it seem like he was a constant pest to her, she often found herself enjoying talking to him as well. Snails was held back a couple of grades, making him a bit older than the rest of the foals in his class, a bit closer to Trixie’s age, but still a lot younger at the time, so he learned not to let his feelings for her show more than being just friends. As time grew on and he spent more time with her, despite what he had told himself, he had found himself falling into some sort of “puppy love” with the mare, but always shook it off due to the age difference, little did he know, Trixie had also been battling the same feelings for him.
 
A couple of weeks pass and eventually Trixie is ran out of town due to her twisted magic and mentality by Twilight Sparkle and her friends, and Snails was devastated. Broken hearted by the fact of losing the one mare he actually cared about, and who he thought actually had some sort of care for him as well, Snails took odd and end jobs around Ponyville to gain enough bits to travel to the United Kingdom to study to become a teacher and possibly find help for how “slow” he had been in his school years.
 
A couple of years had eventually gone by and Trixie had returned to Ponyville in a “reformed” state, but, unfortunately, Snails had no knowledge of this due to his schooling in the United Kingdom. During Snails absence, Trixie had became friends with Twilight Sparkle and her friends, as well as had a best friend, Starlight Glimmer, she had been on her own adventures, and grew so much as a mare, though, everyday she often thought about Snails when she lay awake at night.
 
More years went by, Snails, now 24, moves back to Ponyville in hopes of becoming a teacher in Canterlot, or a school that needs him. Snails is very studious at this point, and has a very obvious British accent that seemed to grow on him over time.
 
Eventually during one of Snails trips into town to buy supplies for his new home, he ran into Trixie at the marketplace and finally was able to ask her officially out on a date, and Trixie, with complete hidden joy suddenly bursting out at once, said yes in a heartbeat.
 
The two have been inseparable ever since.
