In the lands of Minopolis, motherhood is seen as an obligation to all females. The minotaur who populate this island nation far from the shores of Equestria have no women of their own, but possess the ability to breed with any other species to create more of their kind. Seldom done through willful participation, females of all species end up in the clutches of these powerful bulls, enslaved into a life of servitude and partnership that they can never escape.
It is not seen as a pleasant life for most, but for some who accept their cruel fate, they can find a form of joy and fulfillment they never expected. From discovering the rare love of a master who sees them as more than a possession. To being treated as a member of a family they never expected to be a part of. To knowing the simple pleasures that come with raising a child, and imprinting upon them better values than the ones that led their father to do what they did to so many others.
Those resistant to the minotaur see these other females as those who gave in, were broken, or went mad. However, the truth is not so grim. All that happened for these mothers of Minopolis is that they found a light at the end of the dark tunnel of fate, and discovered a place and purpose in this new world they were forced into, circumstance be damned.
An image of Scylla the Kelpie being a good mommy with her baby minotaur, depicting her life as not so bad after being abducted from Equestria. A touching moment, despite everything that happened to her.
