When every mare in Equestria shrank Shining saw an opportunity to re-evaluate his relationships with Cadance and Twilight. Claiming them for himself he set about enforcing his authority over them, but when they didn’t treat him as their superior he aimed about correcting them. However the best option he could find was to remove Twilight from the equation, highlighting to Cadance that, as far as he was concerned, they were property. Now Cadance could only watch as Shining sealed Twilight in a jar, knowing that she might never see his sister again; Shining had made it clear that he was going to sell Twilight, but Cadance wouldn’t know if she’d be auctioned off or if Shining had enough principles left to ensure the prospective buyer would treat Twilight properly.
