Some designs for new changeling OCs of mine. Introducing Mandible and Abdomen. They are two “black” changelings that refuse to reform and are allied with Scutellum. I came up with them while writing “Leaving the Hive” so that’s why they aren’t mentioned in “My Big Fat Pink Wedding,” though I’d like to think they were somewhere during the battle in the former, helping with the invasion and probably helping to combine with other changelings from time to time.

Personality wise, I see these two as being like the smart and dumb archetype. Abdomen wouldn’t be very dumb, just not quite as smart as Mandible. Mandible would speak in a raspy voice and be a sly trickster while Abdomen has a deep voice and thinks more with his muscles than his brain. For those who are new to headcanon designs and are wondering about their different body types, Mandible is a “spy” changeling and Abdomen is a “brute”. Spies are more slender and nimble and very stealthy, while brutes are the tanks of the horde and have a very tough hide.
