I’m far prouder of Jonagold Pie’s design than I am Firefly Spice, but I did my best. Pinkie’s hairstyle isn’t the funnest or easiest to work with for me, for whatever reason.

I have always struggled to ship Pinkie with anyone. I have had several ideas over the years, but nothing ever stuck, any kiddos I designed or had help designing never felt right. But this ship, however unconventional, feels good to me. Pinkie seems the type to be committed to not one but maybe 2 or 3 partners. Poly exists, and while I myself am not fond of it, it works for Pinkie in my headcanon. I might do the same for her in my main NG, but that NG is already complicated lol.

How They Met: Pinkie Pie and Applejack met shortly before Twilight Sparkle came to Ponyville. The threat of Nightmare Moon brought them together as friends. Over the next couple years, a spark grew between the two and they started dating - at first, in secret. They were hopeful that if it didn’t work out for some reason, their friends wouldn’t suspect much was going on in the first place because they wouldn’t know about it.

Pinkie Pie met Autumn Blaze shortly after Applejack and Fluttershy returned from their journey to help Autumn Blaze and other Kirins. Autumn had chosen to return with them, curious about Ponyville. Pinkie Pie welcomed her in typical Pinkie fashion, and the two became fast friends. They spent most of their days together, joking and laughing, dancing and singing, baking and partying. A romance quickly blossomed, but Pinkie Pie had already been with AJ for a while and didn’t want to end the relationship. She sat both AJ and Autumn down to discuss the idea of a poly situation. Applejack was a little hesitant at first, but when told that “poly” didn’t necessarily mean, for them, that they all had to be romantically involved and that it would be Pinkie dating both Autumn and herself, she relaxed considerably. Knowing that Pinkie Pie was quite needy, and that she herself was often busy, AJ was happy to share her with their new Kirin friend.

Their Relationship (Pinkie Pie x Applejack): Pinkie and Applejack couldn’t be more different, but that doesn’t mean they don’t get along swimmingly. Pinkie Pie is far more the “fun parent” while Applejack tends to be the more serious and logical one. But despite their differences, they know how to work together as partners and as parents. They have excellent communication, due in part to Pinkie’s tendency to blurt out whatever she’s feeling (99% of the time), and in part because of how brutally honest Applejack can be. Their parenting style is a healthy mix of fun and hard work.

Their Relationship (Pinkie Pie x Autumn): Pinkie and Autumn share a lot in common; they are both very bubbly and excitable, and they feed off of that from each other easily. They love throwing parties together, laughing and singing, and above all else- making others happy. They understand each other well, communicate easily, and often tend to finish each other’s sentences. They both care immensely for their family and friends, and would drop anything to help them.

Offspring: Pinkie Pie has one daughter each with her partners. Jonagold Pie is her and AJ’s daughter, who is a month older than Firefly Spice, her daughter with Autumn Blaze.

• Jonagold Pie: Jona is very emotionally driven; she doesn’t share her farm-born mother’s stubbornness. She loves family time, whether that means just her parents and sister, the Apple family, or the Pie family. She is a hard-working pony who helps out wherever she can; despite how dainty she looks, her strength is nearly on par with Applejack’s. Her talent is that her singing voice can help fruit trees bear a significantly larger number of fruits.

• Firefly Spice: Fire is quite brutishly stubborn, but very sensitive (though she’s a master at keeping her thoughts and feelings hidden from others). She is very protective of her older sister. While she isn’t quite as fond of “family time” as Jona, she cares deeply for all of them and finds herself very fortunate to have so many ponies in her life that love her. Despite being a Kirin, her magic is fairly weak. She loves working on the farm with the Apple family; her favorite job is apple-bucking, and she prides herself in her powerful hind legs. Her talent is TBA.
