Another frame redraw! This time from the Season 9 FiM episode ‘Daring Doubt’.

I had forgotten what the context of this episode was when did the sketch. I literally just scrolled through Fluttershy screenshots to see what would look the most epic in EqG form, and came across this one. In retrospect, I probably could have made Caballeron look more like he had just been running from wild beasts. He ended up looking a bit more relaxed here; kind of like a pause & turn pose rather than an abrupt stop and head whipping back pose. Nothing wrong with that per se, it just kinda goes against the original context is all.
But I mean, this very much could be taken as an “out of context” kind of image anyway, so I’m fine with it as is.
It was just too funny of an frame. I like the smug look on Flutters’ face. She’s so precious ^^.

The inspirations for her “Safari” outfit depicted here are kinda all over the place. The primary thesis base was JonFawkes’ iteration in this piece https://www.deviantart.com/jonfawkes/art/The-Truth-Pic-of-the-week-MLPS9E21-814068799. Everything else I kinda had to fabricate from there; the gloves & khakis are from her outfit in the “music video ideas” segment from ‘Dance Magic’, and her stockings are pretty much lifted straight from her camping outfit worn in ‘Legend of Everfree’, minus the frills. The hat & handbag are also obviously pulled straight from her Pony design.

Every time I redraw a frame from FiM, it ends up turning into a resource farm, from both the fandom and official media. But I guess that’s just half the fun!
