Twilight could only stare down the beast’s looming gullet, into which most of her legs had already disappeared. The T-Rex’s hot breath washed over her bare skin, contrasting the crisp cool air around her. She tired to call upon her magic, but something was siphoning her power, both physical and magical. She feared she wouldn’t have the energy to pry herself out of the monster’s maw, a fear even more validated by her slow but continual descent into the throat.
