Woohoo! Summer! Here’s a little drawing for this year’s Pride month featuring the grandpa-grandson duo, Gallus and Grandpa Gruff. While I prefer focusing my stories mostly on general family love rather than the romantic type, I do plan to give characters a few attractions without necessarily giving any of them a commitment, the grandpa-grandson Griffon duo included (also a bit of a callback to some of my headcanons for them). Gallus is Bi and Grandpa Gruff is Grey-Aroace.
Gallus used to switch crushes like clothes in his youth. Even if he has some stable preferences, he tends to do that even in recent years. Gruff, unlike Gallus, experiences romantic attraction VERY rarely. Despite being constantly pushed into dating games by one of his friends, there are only two creatures he’s shown any interest in, even in the slightest. And two of which he didn’t meet in those dating games. Even if he’s shown some kind of interest to other creatures besides the aforementioned, it is often because the other party either acts or looks like one of them. Though, really, this only lasts for about five seconds. Even if attracted, he’s not really looking for a relationship (unlike his grandson whose “Theatre Kid” side brings a form of “hopeless romantic” to another level) as he seems to be pretty content with the close bonds he already has. He has a situationship partner, his best female friend, Grandma Grizel, who respects Gruff’s feelings of not being interested in commitment and knows her affection for him is reciprocated to some degree. Both of them use the “Girlfriend/ Boyfriend” tease on each other on a regular basis. Hope you like it! ^^
