Some of the focus in this arc is admittedly just gushing over the visuals. Like, I’m not even that much of a cinematography guy (as you can tell by my willingness to plaster text boxes and word balloons everywhere), but this shot of Tirek backlit by the explosion is just <chef’s kiss>

DM: Well. I guess the tone is set for this fight. That tone being “massive lasers and explosions.”
Twilight Sparkle: S-Sorry. Was that too much? It just sorta… My mouth opened and it didn’t stop.
DM: Oh no, you misunderstand. I’m not complaining. You’ve just given me permission to not hold back.
