It was a little chaotic with a couple of episodes being every poorly written, but saying it was “mean spirited” wouldn’t quite describe it.

Well first off, I find the bean face art style atrocious. I’m not just holding G4 as some perfect series in terms of animation, I am specifically disgusted by the bean face.

I know the plot was going to be slow, attempting some slice of life, but it focuses too hard on random nonsense and gags that are out of left field and made no sense in the way that someone jangles their keys in front of a kid to keep their attention.

I really didn’t want to see anymore and the snips of toilet humor just infuriated me.

Why it angers me, however, is that this series is being pushed hard instead of the 3D series which has basically been forgotten about and no one talks about. It’s why I was extremely angry at folks supporting Pony Life because I KNEW that this would become the fate of G5 and we won’t escape it until MAYBE G6.

Insulted? I mean, that first episode was felt like a weak version of Castle Sweet Castle and all, but on the whole TYT has been pretty benign, aside from Izzy’s characterization and some toilet humor.

I get not liking it, I don’t understand being offended by it.

I honestly have incredible disdain for anyone supporting this specific version of G5. They are the same people who defended the G4 shorts that were idiotic and nonsensical and this pushes to return MLP into “that cringy show”.
