Original Description:
Silverstream had a big crush on Gallus. Unfortunately, it seemed that he played hard to get. One day, Trixie was practicing for her biggest magic show yet … literally. For the great finale, she planned to grow into a giant monster – and catch an Ursa Major with her bare hooves! Unfortunately, when Trixie was practicing for the class, she misfired … striking Silverstream with the spell instead.
Suddenly, Silverstream grew to the size of a house! She looked down and stared warmly toward Gallus. But Gallus seemed terribly shy. The giant hippogriff reached for the little gryphon. He tried to fly off – but she grabbed him by the tail! Gallus yelped with fear.
Dangling him close to her mouth, his tail between her fingertips, Silverstream said, “Gallus, you’re such an adorable little birb! I could just eat you up!”
Gallus screeched with terror, fainting with his eyes open. He hung limp, like a lifeless mouse caught by a cat.
Meanwhile, Smolder was laughing. “That really is a great trick, isn’t it, Counselor Trixie!”
Yona literally jumped with excitement. “Resize Yona next! Yona smash buildings with giant hippogriff!”
Sandbar and Ocellus looked up toward Gallus and Silverstream. They were worried.
“You think she would really eat her friend?” asked Ocellus.
“I think that was just a figure of speech,” replied Sandbar … “I hope.”
Silverstream meant no harm. She really just wanted to hug and hold him, like a little flying gerbil. Unfortunately, she made a terrible choice of words. And it certainly didn’t help that she opened her mouth really wide, giving a great view of her throat.
After things were restored to normal, Smolder continued to laugh … until she saw Gallus crying. Finally, Smolder started to feel rotten. She recalled how precious Spike is to her, how she despises it when bigger creatures try to hurt him. Gallus was bigger than Spike, but Spike was clearly more powerful. Why should Gallus’s feelings matter less than Spike’s?
At that point, Smolder recognized she was being a bully by mistake. She assured him that he is as precious a creature to her as her favorite dragon. As bearers of the Elements of Harmony, Smolder feels for Gallus … and he feels for her.
After what he just went through with Silverstream, Gallus didn’t feel as shy around Smolder as he did before. He asked her if he might hug her. Smolder agreed. They shared a big hug. Then Gallus asked … might he give her a little kiss? If she would like, he wished to be with her on Hearts & Hooves Day. Secretly, Gallus was worried that Smolder would be insulted and blow fire at him. But that wasn’t the case. On the contrary, Smolder was glad that Gallus asked first. She wanted to kiss him, too, for how much he cared about her.
Silverstream was feeling left out, but Pinkie Pie noted that she did a good job bringing two different creatures together today. Feeling happy with this achievement, the hippogriff grabbed both Gallus and Smolder and gave them a big herself. Smolder and Gallus gave her a hard stare … but then they laughed.
