Original Description:
 
After Edana went back home to make amends with her family with Crescent at her side, Wintertide and Grogar began to understand their children shouldn’t just be confined to their castle. They had only intended to keep them safe, but realized it was an unfair existence to force upon them. They not only allow Edana to leave for Canterlot again, but also suggest she take her older brother with them too. Rigel didn’t want to do this because he was actually happy to be at home with his family, but his parents insisted he go. He reluctantly follows his sister and her fiancé back to Equestria.
 
But before he can begin to get himself settled, Edana felt he should meet the current ruler, Queen Twilight Sparkle, and get himself acquainted. Thanks to her relationship with Crescent, Edana held good standing with Equestrian royalty and wanted her brother have the same. However when they go to meet her, Twilight was finishing up an audience with her student, Luster Dawn. As she leaves, she and Rigel make eye contact in passing. No words were exchanged, but that glimpse left an impression on them both that wouldn’t soon be forgotten.
 
 
Another somewhat older piece. The sketch was drawn last October but I colored it about a month ago. I’ve shown Edana’s canon ship in the KirinVerse, and here is her brother’s! Riluster and Edescent are both ships I want to work more with in the future and I’m hoping I can get up the motivation to make that happen this year.
