After Coloratura started a new tour without Svengallop she went to Appleloosa. Svengallop never let her go there for concerts. When she arrived she befriended many of the townsfolk, including the former outlaw, now turned rodeo clown, Trouble Shoes. They had much in common but mostly they were seen as someone else before letting their true self be shown. She found him funny in his “performances” and it took several ponies to get him to move out the front view when she sang. When it came time for her to leave the two agreed to be pen pals until she could return. It worked for a while but Trouble couldn’t wait to see his new friend again. When her tour brought her to Ponyville he was on the first train. It didn’t take long for Coloratura to find him in the audience, he was the tallest one there! After the show they met backstage. Coloratura told him she wanted to return to Appleloosa after the tour was over as she too had missed him. He returned to Appleloosa and awaited the day she would come back to him. Months he waited until she arrived. The two were nearly inseparable. Even more so after Coloratura told him she was expecting a foal. While Coloratura was excited, Trouble was scared. He couldn’t get rid of the feeling something bad was going to happen. He wasn’t wrong. It was near midnight during a thunderstorm when the foal came. It didn’t go well and though the doctors tried as hard as they could but Coloratura didn’t survive. Trouble was on his own with a newborn foal Coloratura had called Treble. He gave her the full name Treble Hooves. Treble had a coat like her mother’s but as she grew that wasn’t the only trait she had inherited from her. Treble sang just like her mother. And while Trouble encouraged her voice, he never let her sing outside Appleloosa. Until she snuck away to find fame like mother mother did in Manehattan.
