Shoofly and Igneous don’t get along. Shoofly’s still mad at Igneous for staying behind when the Pie family moved to Trottingham, and Igneous is still mad at Shoofly for becoming the careless vagabond that he is. They can usually stop hating each other long enough to get through Shoofly’s visits to the rock farm, but Igneous’s patience started wearing out when he realized how big of an influence Shoo was on Pinkie Pie. Pinkie loves her uncle Shoo, and wants to be like him when she grows up, travelling Equestria and having fun. Shoo has always been more understanding of Pinkie’s cheerful attitude and love of parties than Igneous or Cloudy Quartz, so she naturally gravitated towards him. The whole situation has put a lot of strain on the family.
