These guys got the most votes on my poll, so here ya go: my headcanons for Vapor Trail and Sky Stinger!

-As you know, Vapor and Sky were best friends since they were young. They did almost everything together, including training for Wonderbolts Academy. They both got in, and were working their way up to the top. These two were impeccable together, and awesomely unstoppable.
 
-Sky and Vapor are 18 when they appeared in “Top Bolt”. I view them as young adults for some reason.
 
-Lots of people ship these two, and yeah, I see it and I think it would be cute, but Vapor Trail is lesbian in my universe. Sky is straight and did have a crush on her. He asked her out once and she agreed to go out with him. This was before she came out, and she was battling her sexuality for a long time.
 
-They lasted pretty long, but broke up for different reasons than her sexuality.  
Vapor then started dating Lightning Dust, a bisexual butch mare who was fierce and fast. She kept their relationship away from Sky. She didn’t want him to know she was dating someone else at the time.
 
-After three months of dating, Lightning Dust ask Vapor to join the Washouts. Vapor wanted to, but she didn’t know how to tell Sky, let alone Spitfire…  
Instead, she purposely made a mistake in a flying routine, hurting herself, and two other ponies. As she aspected, she was washed out. Sky Stinger was angry at her for giving everything up. He wanted them to be the best Wonderbolts ever, but she threw it all away.
 
-Vapor apologized, and told him the real reason why she did what she did. To her surprise he wasn’t surprised. He knew that she had a thing for girls, and that he was sorry for asking her out in the first place.
 
-They remained friends, but their relationship wasn’t the same anymore. Vapor joined the Washouts, and Sky went on into the Wonderbolts.
