Original Description:
efore he realized it Stone Mane’s first day at Sweet Apple Acres was over in my >>2719134s Equestria dreamscape. After the afternoon chores were completed, and everypony had washed up the household and their guest gathered around the table for dinner.
Dinner was a simple but hardy. A thick potato and vegetable chowder rich with cheddar cheese with toasted croutons sprinkled on top. Along with chowder there was ears of corn on the cob to be basted with melted butter, and spinach and mushrooms sauteed in Shindleback. For dessert a giant apple crumble was taken out of the oven and served with great dollops of sweetened whipped cream.
Once dinner was consumed the two foals helped Granny Smith wash up the evening dishes. After that Applebloom went and checked that the barn was properly locked up for the night. With that accomplished the two foals sat on the front porch and chatted as they watched Celestia’s great orb set in the west and Luna’s watch began. Having completed her final chores for the day Applejack joined the foals and chatted with them for a little while until darkness engulfed the land. Slowly the mare got to her hooves and addressed them.
“Well now! It’s a gitting late and Stone Mane we start our day befer the sun rises. So we should hit the sack!”
Over the next 30 minutes there was a whirlwind activity as each member of the household took their turn in the only interior bathroom in the farmhouse. Soon nature calls were taken and teeth had been brushed. Stone Mane had to do some final unpacking to do so he went last. As he exited the bathroom the colt found Applebloom standing in the hallway. The rest of her family had already retired to their own bedrooms. It was obvious the filly had been waiting for him. Smiling she addressed the colt.
“I just wanna ta remind ya if ya brought an alarm clock ta set fer 5am so ya can git up in time ta help with the morning chores. Okay?”
The nutmeg brown colt nodded. “Alright I will. Good night!”
“Sleep well!” Said the filly. Then suddenly she leaned forward and kissed the colt on the lips. Then she looked Stone Mane in the eyes and smiled.
“I’m so happy yer here!”
Then she walked into her bedroom. Stone Mane watched her until she closed her bedroom door. The colt then entered his room and climbed into bed. Lying on his back he picked up the doll done in the likeness of the filly he loved placed it on his chest. >>1825025s The light of Luna’s half-moon poured through the window in his room and across his bed. Looking down at the doll he gently stroked its mane with a front hoof. Softly he whispered.
“I’m happy I’m here as well.”
To be continued.
