Family and friends:  
Dreamys parents got divorced when she was a filly. She lived with her mother but visited her father regulary.  
She moved out when her vocational education started. The visits became less but she still has a good bound to her parents.  
After a few years she met her colt friend Smoky Timber
 
She also got friends all around Equestria even though she has problems keeping in touch because of the distance and the sheer fact that she’s not the best at communication in general.  
Still she likes to write letters. Most of the time Dreamy just doesn’t know what to write and simply pastes stickers all over the stationery instead.
 
 
Cutie Mark:  
She loves her occupation as a librarian but it never completely fulfilled her life. When Dreamy was a filly she already felt like something was missing. Growing up in cloudsdale wasn’t bad but what she really enjoyed were her frequently trips to Ponyvilles nature spots. Taking a walk in the woods always helped her to calm down in stressful times and she always took a few flowers back home.  
As you can imagine she was quite joyful when she moved to Ponyville to start her vocational education. She used as much free time as she could to study plants and flowers.  
The knowledge was super helpful when she moved again because in Manehattan wasn’t much nature to see. At first it demoralized her a lot and she lost a bit of her heartwarming personality.  
But her love to Smoky Timber helped her to not let her head hang down and she started looking for a solution. After a few weeks their apartment was barely recognizable.  
Plants were hanging from the ceiling, herbs were growing in the kitchen and the balcony became a floral oasis adorned with fairy lights. It was the perfect place to relax your soul. Even for Smoky Timber.  
He helped Dreamy setting up a hammock filled with pillows, snacks and drinks. They spend the whole night there getting drunk and talk about their hopes and wishes.  
When the sun started rising and the first beams of light touched her beloved flowers, she realized that she’s never been happier before than in this night. The blooming balcony and the closeness to Smoky made her heart flatter.  
Listening to him talking about his dreams as a kid was fascinating and she enjoyed seeing him opening up even more when she encourages him to keep on.  
As the sun was already lighting up the whole balcony, Timber picked up a white Anemone and put it in her mane while thanking her for believe in his “childish” dreams.  
It was this moment where Dreamy finally got her Cutie Mark. She was over the moon! And so was Timber. He called all of their friends over for the next evening to celebrate.
 
After getting her Cutie Mark Dreamy put even more love in gardening. She surprised friends as well as strangers with little gifts from her balcony. Sometimes it was a flower tagged with a note. Kinda like fortune cookies to brighten up their days. But she also grew various berries and used them to bake cakes or tiny cupcakes. Dreamys coworkers loved her pastries even if she wasn’t the best at baking.  
It was just such a delightful atmosphere when everypony stick their head out of their office by the scent of fresh cake.
