The sun began to set over the horizon as the School of Friendship was wrapping up a school dance in celebration of Hearts and Hooves Day. And it wasn’t long after the students and faculty cleared out for the evening that Smolder stood over what was now a vacant school ballroom. However, though she would usually be getting straight to work overseeing the clean up operations, tonight was a bit different. She had spent all of that day chaperoning the students, watching many of them dance and enjoy each other’s company. She could even possibly make out some students falling in love. She had little company of her own during that time, but why would she? She was far too busy keeping a sharp eye on the school and the students. She sighed to herself as she looked on at the empty ballroom. How nice it must have been to glide across the dance floor with someone special. Even if only for a moment. These thoughts clouded her mind so much so, she hadn’t noticed a certain slimy creature and fellow professor slide right next to her. He bowed and held out a gooey palm, beckoning the dragon to place hers. Smolder was rather nervous and unsure. She didn’t really have time to just goof around by indulging herself in a silly dance, not when a good deal of work had to be done. But as her eyes were affixed onto the Smooze, a smile slowly crossed her face at the display of his sincerity. She giggled and blushed as the two waltzed across the room in complete bliss, relishing in their moment together. And even though a lot of work had to be done afterwards, it was certainly an evening to remember.
