I disagree. But I guess the foot fetish isn’t completely understandable for you, because for me and for another people feet are enough to lost control. And I’m not able to explain myself too, because I’m not an expert in the matter; As a matter of fact, I’ll probably say I only like female feet, is just that simple but that would be a lie. Since the foot fetish is that common, there must be tons of information about the theme. I think the question is more about “how” rather than “why”.  
I can understand feet as part of the foreplay, but I can’t see it so much as the main spectacle.  
I mean, I get the footjobs, I get massages, and I also get a bit that strange fetish where you suck a toe when she has her leg on you.

I think the biggest thing at work here is how disconnected it seems to be from anything most people can imagine sexualizing. Master/slave games are something most people grasp on an intuitive level that someone could eroticize, even if they aren’t into it themselves. Latex clothing that clings and accentuates the curves, likewise, people can see how it might be a turn-on even if they’re not into it themselves. But feet? FEET? People hear that, imagine a foot, and immediately think to themselves, “Oh, this is like one of those guys who wants to have sex with a car.” There are certain fetishes that can’t be made to seem anything but weird and repugnant to people who don’t share them. Feet are at the top of the list.
