Page 1558 - Having a Normal One
10th Jul 2021, 6:00 AM in Magical Mystery CureAlmost ten years ago, the crux of the table dynamic was a majority of the participants trying to get everyone else to conform to playing the game their way, and the humor that resulted in trying to have a game despite that. Now, nearly ten years into telling this story, we finally seem to have come around on understanding and respecting everyone’s distances rather than trying to make everyone play the game one way, and having a good time because of that rather than in spite of it.
Twilight Sparkle: <sigh>
DM: Something wrong? Feeling left out?
Twilight Sparkle: No, just… I really admire the rest of you for taking this on. I couldn’t even pretend to have my entire existence flipped upside-down like that.
Fluttershy: It’s okay! I think it’s a really good thing that you found that boundary and drew a line. Goodness knows I still have trouble with that…
Rainbow Dash: And hey, besides, we’re all counting on you to fix it. At least I am. So as far as I’m concerned, you’ve got the hard job.
Twilight Sparkle: Thank you. I really do appreciate that.
DM: Feeling up to the challenge?
Twilight Sparkle: More than ever!
DM: Oh. Well, I was actually thinking of taking a quick break here.
Twilight Sparkle: That’s… That’s fine too.
