I wonder if the writers had ever intended to do more with her and exploring how she was born an alicorn. We do know that the writers often had ideas that they either couldn’t put into the show or were never able to work into a script. I seem to recall at the time some of the show’s writers and other staff shared with us on social media that many of them held the opinion that what made Celestia and Luna different from Twilight and Cadance was they were born as alicorns themselves rather than having ascended. I even thought I noticed them slipping themselves an out into Luna’s dialogue regarding Flurry Heart’s alicorn status, with her referring to Flurry as the first alicorn born in Equestria’s history and I noted that the royal sisters are older than even Equestria meaning it wasn’t unreasonable to still assume that they were still natural born alicorns. Perhaps that was just wishful thinking on my part. It’s a pointless line of inquiry now with the series epilogue all but saying out loud that Twilight and presumably Cadance are immortal now and exactly like how Celestia and Luna were.

It was never about consistency or logic. These people hoard pretexts fo phony outrage like a pirate captain hoards treasure. They don’t really believe in anything but power. They are not here for a rational, reasoned dialogue in good faith. Everything coming out of their mouths is a rhetorical bludgeon to beat you with.

>We NEED more representation for native peoples in the show!
>Stop showing having native people in the show, its racist!
Is this some kind of catch 22 thing? You are either racist for not having native representation, or you are racist because you have native representation.
Was it better to continue expanding the cast and introducing new side characters, or would it have been wiser to utilize and develop the existing cast already introduced? I have no answer, but I feel the worst for Twist and Peewee. I wish they’d been used more.
You’re right, her design is awful, but I was expecting she at least do one thing useful in the show, but never happened.
In my opinion she’s not a “character”, but a “merchandise” design by Hasbro just for selling some crappy alicorn baby toys.

You say that like it’s a bad thing we didn’t see much of that monstrosity
