GaSp Okay I’m back after stalling for no dang reason. HELLO! I’m glad to be back ÒwÓ! How are y’all!!!!!!!
 
EDIT: Twilight and Flash are together in this picture. My last post was basically a random post of Twilight x Tempest; a place holder until I got out of my stalling. Sorry if this confused anyone. I’ll make sure not to do that again.👍 It’s just that I have so many ideas to give y’all and I do find hard giving out my headcanons chronologically. So please bare with me. And also, if you do get confused, ask me. Sorry again. >~<

ANYWAYS, though you might’ve caught a glimpse of this pink pony with blue hair in my older post, I didn’t really introduce her properly (like most if not all of my next-gen characters). This is Twilight’s second child, Estella Star Sparkle. Like crazy Flurry Heart and Aurora, she was born an alicorn. It has become apparent that alicorns (like Luna, Cadence and now Twilight) would now be birthing alicorns because of certain genetics. You see, in my headcanon, I believe that Cadence was originally a pegasus, the same goes with Luna. Once both Cadence and Luna became alicorns, they now possess unicorn genes, though not as strong as their pegasus genes; Also the alicorn magic definitely made their pegasus genes extra stronger. Cadence married a unicorn (Shining Armor), thus making her more prone for her offspring to have a horn, but since her pegasus genes are as strong, they were able to have an alicorn.  
It was different for Luna, as she married a bat pony, a creature with flying abilities like the pegasus she was. So if we do the math, it was expected that Luna’s first child was going to be a pegasus-bat-like pony, however it wasn’t expected that she would go and have an alicorn….but it happened and it was crazy. Aurora the second born alicorn of Equestria!  
And then you have Estella, whose parents were in the same position as Cadence and Shining, but reversed (Twilight with the strong unicorn genes and weak pegasus genes, and Flash with the strong pegasus genes). It would’ve made it a little bit more sense that an alicorn would’ve been born first, but that’s the probability of genes.
 
So basically, Estella being born an alicorn was sort of no surprise to Equestria, but of course Twilight had certain anxious feelings. Another thing that I want to address about natural born alicorns is that they may have some issues. Flurry Heart was born with TOO much power that she of course couldn’t control until she got older. Aurora was born blind due to too much alicorn magic messing up her development. And Estella was born…. A bit slow I should say, and unable to use her horn (due to too much magical build up stalled in her head). Poor baby green babies had to grow up with their struggles. But with them being the strong fillies that are, they dealt with it.
 
(NOTE: After a visit with Flash, Twilight was unknowingly pregnant with Estella. Hence Estella was born in Canterlot (with Flash not being there) and not the Crystal Empire. Estella was really a happy mistake. If Twi and Flash wanted another child, they would’ve planned it. Flash could’ve been there to witness his daughter’s birth, but Twi never told him when so Flash wouldn’t stress out about anything. However, she did say that she was pregnant in advance and told him not to worry and that she and her friends will take care of Estella).
 
In the first panel of this drawing is when wittle Estella was an hour old. She was born early in the morning in Canterlot, and of course Tempest and Moondancer were going to be there for her.Twilight’s other Canterlot friends (and the princesses Luna and Celestia) were able to drop in that day. Twilight, being the paranoid and newly Queen she kept her kids’ births and presence secretive to the public, especially when they were younger. Sure whispers and rumors may get spread around Equestria, but it’s better than the truth. Now of course once they grow up and feel comfortable with presenting themselves as children of royalty, of the Queen, then okay. But as kids, Twilight simply just wants them to live out simple youthful lives without having to be caught up with paparazzi and perfect statuses and whatnot. So Twilight just keeps her kids secret safe amongst those she trusts.  
In the second panel is when Estella was around 6 months old. All she is doing is just getting fat off of Twilight milk XP. And as she did, Twilight would read her classical pony tale and fables that she grew up on. This was also the time when Twilight could just finally sit down for once and relax, even though she had a foal with her. Gladly Estella was a fairly quiet baby (but only cried when she wasn’t in a 2 in radius within her mothers presence….. may or may not develop some bad separation anxiety) and slept all day.  
And lastly the third picture is Estella when she was a lot older, three, and finally old enough to go on trips and meet her dad and father for the first time. And as you can see… she probably needed two more years. Around this time of her life is when she starts realizing her surroundings a bit, and becomes a lot more dodgy when being around certain ponies. So of course she would be dead scared about meeting her own dad and brother for the first time (Dawn’s big wings and lanky-ness didn’t make things any better apparently….). Poor Dawn just wants to be a good big brother but Estella is too scary to let that happen. (But of course once she grew out of this, she and Dawn were able to form a strong loving sibling bond).
