Guest Author’s Note: Many of us have done crazy tricks as players, and often we rely on our “lucky dice” to help us succeed in those tricks. Now, don’t go cheating with loaded dice (that’s unfair), but how many of you have a favorite die that just feels as if it bends probability and rolls better than average for you? Do you have any dice rituals you perform for luck? Perhaps you have moved to online gaming, so your dice are virtual rather than physical. Do you have a favorite app that seems to do better for you than others?

GM: I have an issue with your plan.
Davina: Which part? Blowing my pod open to space–attempting to fly
into the airlock–or repressurizing the airlock before the vacuum
kills me?
GM: D: All of the above.
Davina: I’m sorry, did you want me to just sit in this pod until the
air runs out?
GM: …fair point.
Davina: Look, if I die, it’ll be in an explosion worthy of Kirin
Valhalla… but if I SUCCEED, then I’ll have some AMAZING bragging
rights!
GM: Uh, is Kirin Valhalla a thing?
Davina: WITNESS ME!!
GM: Wait! Is Kirin Valhalla a-

<Davina attempts her plan, and succeeds>

GM: Wow. Well I hope this adventure showed you how important risk is.
Davina: Yeah, that and picking the right dice.
GM: What?
Davina: Nothing!
