I think there is more at stake here than a sword and a few restless nights, and the reward potentially even greater than it would seem. Propose a counter-deal: we’ll do it, obviously, but I’d like for him to come with us, not just for the trip there, but for the remainder of the day. For that we’ll skip the usual adventurers fee. Hardship builds character, and together it makes friendship. If the two of them are okay with that, we’ll see if we can convince his mother to let him come with us.
Favourable Echo (+1) affects your roll. You roll a 14 +1 (required 10). Success!
You tell Windcaller that you’ll do it, but only if he joins you for the rest of the day.
Moonflower: “Ooh! More friends!”
Windcaller: “What? But… I can’t go back there.”
You tell him that he should be a part of this.
Windcaller: “Be that as it may, I doubt my mother would agree.”
You suggest going to talk to his mother, and say that he won’t be all by himself this time.
Windcaller: “I… suppose it’s only fair.”
Windcaller leads you to a house, just west of the town hall. Once inside, you meet Healing Spring, who just finished making herself a cup of tea.
Healing Spring: “Oh, good morning, you three. I was not expecting visitors this early. Can I get you something?”
